Supernatural Separation Father: Chapters 1-4
Chapter 1: Forgotten
The nighttime sky was blue and filled with stars. Not only that the moon full and bright. How I hated yet loved its looks and feeling that it gave me. I live in the time of knights, kings, queens, and the unforeseen. My name is Prudence but most just call me Prue. My hair is black and I'm what they are starting to call an out law because I am the female in town who wears pants. Yes I wear pants like a man and fight like one too. I looked out the window of my uncle’s home and pondered a bit.
~
"Uncle Frank."
"Yes dear?"
"Do I have a mummy and daddy anymore? If so where are they? Why did they leave me with you?"
"Your mother and father had some...things they needed to straighten out."
"Thing? Like how I saw a lycanthrope? Or like how they had been fighting?"
Uncle Frank was always completely honest. He didn't spare a thing.
"A little bit of both but, remember that they said they would come back for you."
~
Yes that's what they said. It was easier to say than do. The lycanthropes had come into our kingdom like they do every year. It was always around the winter season that they would come and take what was rightfully ours. They would take our farm animals and steal our incoming supplies. Now that I had seen one with my own eyes I had questions that I wanted answered. Questions like why my daddy wasn't there in the house when I saw it. Or why were mummy and daddy fighting so much? It was not until I was about twelve years of age at my uncle had told me what he knew about my parents.
"When you were about five years of age your mother was bitten by a vampire. She told your father of this and knew it would be best to stay a distances from you at all times. That is why you did not see her as often. She would be in the woods hunting for animals and their blood instead of humans. It kept her thirst under control and she was able to still see you at the same time. Then a when you were six your father was bitten by a lycanthrope. That is when your parents started fighting if you recall it. You see child vampires and lycanthropes are some of the worst enemies that God made. They hate each other like dogs and cats. One night, if you remember , your parents were fighting and it just so happened to be a full moon. Your father was the lycanthrope you saw that night. So they left you here with me and promised to return. Your mother went left, your father went right and at was the last I heard from them."
They promised. I was fourteen and I was still waiting for that promise to be fulfilled.

Chapter 2: By Day
I awake early each morning to the sounds of kingdom. Birds chirping, wagons rolling, and children playing. While there are many people in the kingdom it is small in size. Our kingdom of Yosermirg is ruled by none other than King Jeremiah the Fourth and Queen Ruth the Second. We live in between some of the two biggest kingdoms of Hinderworth and Marklinberg.
I hate the loud noises how they bug me so. Some days I would go for an early walk but most I trained. Yes trained. Uncle Frank use to work as a guard in the castle and was a good friend of a knight there. His name is Garreth and he was my trainer. It is not easy getting onto the castle ground though luckily I know a secret way.
Because we live on the southern part of the kingdom I go east into the woodlands. When I make it to the only cedar tree in the woodlands I head north. This leads me to the underground caverns at this point I am halfway there. I go through the caverns and in the caverns are stairs which lead to the horse stables. From there I must sneak passed the guards and make it to the garden. Then I must go through the ballroom, pass the dining hall, and make it pass the prince's sleeping chambers. I then take a left and I get away scott free.
Garreth trained me until Queen Ruth awakens. I was being trained with a sword, dagger, and bow and arrow.
"If you ever want to become a knight you must remain vigilant and at on your toes."
"Who said I wanted to be a knight? You know women don't become knights."
"Yes I know this but you have the potential. Honestly you are stronger than most knights I know."
"Well I'd have to show up the boys then."
"Trust me you can do that and more."
Those are what our conversations were like. After training I would usually go back home and do a few things. Gather eggs, feed Enoch the goat, and gather apples. Sometimes I'd practice with some dummies when Uncle Frank was gone. I did not really have any friends I talk to except Marilyn. She's a girl from Hinderworth that comes down here at least once a month. Other than that well that was my day. Night, night was different.

Chapter 3: One Special Night
The night. Even the word frightened me a bit. Never liked it especially since I live here. No one here likes them but with me it was a different story. Ever since that night, that horrid night I will never forget. The golden eyes, brown fur, and breathtaking tone. Seven years alone hurt. It's a pain I could not get rid of.
"Prudence girl do you hear me?"
"What? Sorry Uncle Frank my thoughts got the best of me."
"Look I have some business to take care of I will be back shortly." With that he left out the door.
"Must be important." I whispered to myself.
So I sat there in the quiet room with the fire crackling. The night sky was blue with a full moon.
"What a good night to leave me by myself." I thought.
I looked out the window and wondered if I should get my dagger from outside. It was risky I knew but then again better to have than to not have. I got up and headed toward the back door. I put my hand on it but hesitated to go through with this. I took a deep breath and pushed the door.
Now here I was outside, in the dark of night, on the worst day of the month. I ran over towards the apple tree and climbed. I hide my weapons in the branches of the tree. Now this is not your apple tree. It's the size of a twenty-five year old oak and its inside is flat as a pancake. You could just sit on the inside as if it were a house. One branch held my sword, another with my dagger stuck in it. I did not think twice and decided to get my sword.
Just as I had picked up my weapon I heard a spine chilling tussle of leaves. I quickly picked up my sword and readied myself. The tussling was going in a circle. Something was going around the tree and it wanted me. I heard its heavy breathing. Then I heard its nails hit the trunk of the tree.
"If you dare hurt me in any way you will regret it." I perk myself up trying not to be scared.
I knew it sensed my fear. I heard a low chuckle as if it were funny.
"Now why would I do that to my own daughter?"

Chapter 4: Daddy
"What? No you are... you are a liar."
I held my ground like a brave warrior. This couldn't be happening.
"My daddy is gone and so is my mummy." Then the tussling stopped.
"Your name is Prudence Amelia Hanmon, your mother’s name is Jane Ivory Hanmon, and your father is Paul Adam Hanmon."
Tears began to form around my eyes and the pain of seven years started to come up out of me more. I had lost all faith of my parents ever coming back to me.
"Your hair is black like a night with no moon and long like a pine needle. Your eyes are a sweet hazel color and your nails are a beautiful almond shape."
I fell to my knees, dropped my weapon, and began to sob. I held my hands on my wet eyes. He wasn't even looking at me.
"I left you seven years ago but now back. I will not leave you again Berry."
Daddy always calls me Berry cause he says I'm just as sweet. Right after those words I felt a soft hand. I jumped back on my rum, scooted back a bit, and held my legs to my chest. Now I sat looking at two legged lycanthrope kneeling on one knee. He had brown fur, golden eyes, and white nails.
He moved closer to me and grabbed my hand. Without a word he closed my hand. I reopened my fist and saw something I use to know. It was a copper necklace with a semi circle on the end. On that circle was an "H.""H" for Hanmon just like the one mummy and I have.
"Daddy..." I sobbed more into his broad chest. He held me tight and smoothed hair soothing me.
"It's ok I am here now."
For once I had a goodnight. The pain of seven years started to fade away. I feel asleep in his arms that night, my daddy's arms. Yes I had questions, hundreds of them but they didn't matter. No one would take him away from me. No one.
